SHIREE has strong research components alongside its programme approach. The Centre for Development Studies of Bath University supports the development of the shiree research agenda with a particular focus on qualitative approaches while the University of Cambridge supports anthropometric and socio-economic monitoring of poverty in Bangladesh. Shiree is also linked with Unnayan Shamunnoy and other local think tanks on various issues.
The Extreme Poverty Research Group (EPRG) aims to provide a space where both practitioners and thinkers working on a variety of interventions to reduce extreme poverty can come together, share findings and perspectives, and discuss operational and advocacy priorities.
